Our viticulture and winemaking team has over 30 years’ experience and a deep understanding of our vineyards. They are the custodians of these vineyards and the grapes they produce.

Mike Mudge


Adelaide Hills born and bred, Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree whilst working at the Petaluma winery in the early 1990s. He developed his passion for wine whilst working a vintage in Oregon in 1995 and on his return home undertook his degree in Oenology at Charles Sturt University.

Now in his 30th year at Petaluma and Croser he brings a breadth of experience and knowledge in all facets of the business from vine to glass.

What makes Croser so special to Mike is the attention to detail given to the wines from the grapes through to the Traditional Method production.

Mike is married to Ali with three children. In his spare time he is Commodore of the Robe Yacht Club, coach of two basketball teams, loves mountain biking and driving his old Kombi on car rallies into the outback with his family and friends.

Mike Harms


Viticulturist at Croser and Petaluma since 1996, Mike Harms’ approach is grounded in attention to detail and timing. He favours an organic approach to foster biodiversity and healthy soils, ensuring the vineyards produce grapes that express the characteristics of each site and the vintage.

Mike had a background in commercial banking, leaving the sector to study Agricultural Science in 1992. This drew on his fascination for biological systems and a love for the wine industry. This passion began in his formative years, growing up in the Barossa Valley where his father worked as an accountant for Orlando Wines in the late 1960s. Mike believes strongly in nurturing and supporting healthy and positive relationships with growers and vineyard workers.

Married to Lisa with two children, Mike loves spending time with family and friends. A passionate motorsports enthusiast, he enjoys off-road motorcycling in his spare time.
